Welcome to Bentwood Place
Bentwood Place, a major Midwestern Peruvian horse breeding ranch was founded in 1980 by Dr. Gail Benson.
The ranch has specialized in Southern Peruvian bloodlines famous for elegance, arrogance, gait, strength and beauty. A herd of over 60 makes this one of the Midwest's largest Peruvian herds.
All of our horses have been raised and trained under the studious eye of our Ranch Manager Ruben Sanchez. While growing up in Peru he was trained by his Grandfather Jose Alba, a famous Peruvian Master Trainer. Ruben is fluent in English, is computer literate and oversees the day-to-day operation of our ranch.
Show competition is considered an essential part of our strategy to improve. Our herd sires are in the elite of National Show winners.
